We greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. If you are a resident or visitor to the city of Irving in the Mid-cities of Dallas-Fort Worth, we would be thrilled to have you with us to worship the Lord during our programs.
The Ethiopian Evangelical Church in Irving was established on April 22,2007 as a mission church of the Ethiopian Evangelical Church in Dallas with about 18 adults and 12 children. It began meeting at the Plymouth Park Baptist Church in Irving until it moved to its present location (3640 W. Northgate Dr, Irving, TX 75062) in August 2011, after purchasing the present building. Pastor Dr. Abera Mitiku (Ph.D.)
Pastor Abera has been the Pastor of the Ethiopian Evangelical Church Irving since its beginning. Abera has a Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary in Biblical Studies (Majoring in Old Testament and New Testament), and a Ph.D. in New Testament and Early Christianity from Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University. He has been in full time ministry for about 25 years and has served the Lord for more than 38 years. He has academic teaching experience in Bible Colleges as well as in a University setting.
Evangelist Ketema Desta
Evangelist Ketema has been serving the Lord as an Evangelist at the Ethiopian Evangelical Church Irving since the beginning. Ketema has been serving the Lord on full time as well as part-time bases for about 40 years both in Ethiopia and U.S..
